Every paddler 18 years old and over must sign a waiver prior to paddling. Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a Parental Consent form.
In regards to Covid, we are following provincial recommendations closely. Should there be any reason that we are unable to host our rentals or tours, such as Covid or weather conditions, we do not hold our guests liable.
Cancellations
In the event that we are able to operate our tours and you need to cancel – please read the following cancellation agreement: Note, rain or showers do not require cancellation.
From May 15 to September 15, all reservations require at least 72 hours written notice. Reservations during a long weekend, or bookings of 4 or more people, we require 5 days written notice.
Without above proper notice, a $25 administration fee for each boat will be levied. If less than 24 hours written notice, full reservation will be charged to credit card on file.
For guided tours, a $75 cancellation fee will be charged if we do not receive written notice 72 hours prior to tour, as we will have booked a guide for your tour.
When Pedals & Paddles takes a reservation, the boat is held for you and nobody else. We often find ourselves turning potential customers away due to full reservations, then a bad (and often wrong) forecast results in many last minute cancellations, and we are left with kayaks on the rack. Many outdoors people do have the correct gear and will continue with an adventure no matter the forecast.
Launching Privileges
We charge $10 to launch up to 2 boats which includes first day of parking, and each additional day or partial day is $5 to park. Parking is in our upper parking lot. If accompanying a renter at Pedals & Paddles, one car and up to 2 kayaks or canoes can launch and park for $10 providing the parties leave and return together. There is a good public access beach just North of us, or Tillicum Bay Marina. Please feel free to come and ask for local advise and knowledge.
